原beta版之RDA Toolkit的更新版本（即新版RDA Toolkit）已於2020年12月15日公布。本項更新意指RDA Toolkit重組與重新設計計畫（簡稱3R計畫，請參考 https://www.rdatoolkit.org/3RProject）的結束。

新版RDA Toolkit可自 https://access.rdatoolkit.org/ 取用。原先舊版 RDA Toolkit 改至 http://original.rdatoolkit.org/，或在新版的Resource頁籤選取 “Original Toolkit” 或是點選新版網頁的頂端橫幅的舊版鏈結。

本次更新內容包括RDA Toolkit功能較小的修訂和改進、挪威文翻譯的更新、大英圖書館及美國國會圖書館的政策聲明。有關此更新版本RDA文本明顯改變的說明，請參見 “Notes on the December 15, 2020 RDA Toolkit Release”。

除了本次所發布的更新版本之外，RDA相關服務還有其他兩項重大更改。包括RDA註冊中心（RDA Registry）及RDA-L討論群（RDA-L discussion list）。

RDA註冊中心（RDA Registry）目前包含從MACR到RDA的調整。學習有關此調整內容的訊息，請參考 https://www.rdatoolkit.org/node/233。

RDA-L討論群（RDA-L discussion list）將於2020年12月18日搬移至ALA連線平台（ALA Connect platform），此項搬移將改善該討論群的績效與可靠性，但是要求大多數人註冊免費的ALA連線帳號，以便重新加入RDA-L討論群。有關如何註冊RDA-L，請參見 https://www.rdatoolkit.org/node/232。

為因應新版RDA Toolkit的重組、重新設計與發布，RDA Toolkit於兩年前即建置了RDA Toolkit YouTube頻道（https://www.youtube.com/c/RDAToolkitVideo），並於2018年10月5日錄製及上架有關 “BetaSite - Logging into the RDA Toolkit beta site” 介紹影片（影片網址：https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_skhm1LZEL8&list=PL1Gb2VwmOhgTlQdOabM-xHWtIfSVea5Z6&index=15&t=10s），提供國際圖書館同道了解登入RDA Toolkit的方式。

隨著2020年12月15日RDA Toolkit已由Beta版網站提升為正式版，考量有些使用者於檢索RDA Toolkit可能會遭遇一些問題，因此RDA Toolkit於2020年12月19日另發布有關登入RDA Toolkit的一些注意事項來提醒使用者留意。注意事項包括：

1. 基本登入：access.rdatoollkit.org和original.rdatoolkit.org都需要登入。登入某一個網站，不表示會登入另一個網站。若有需檢索配置設定（profile），則需要第2次登入。
2. IP認證：如同以往一樣有效。當登入新的Toolkit，首頁仍將顯示深藍色配置設定的登入框。
3. 帳戶ID及密碼：仍以相同方式運作。可自新的Toolkit或原始Toolkit登入。
4. 使用您的配置設定單一登入：僅用於新的RDA Toolkit。
5. 從Connexion及其他圖書館自動化系統（ILS）檢索RDA Toolkit：如果貴館自動化系統（ILS）以前即已連結RDA Toolkit，仍將持續連結。
6. 從Cataloger's Desktop檢索RDA Toolkit：Cataloger's Desktop正在完成讓RDA Toolkit使用者也可檢索RDA Toolkit的工作。
7. 使用舊版Toolkit : 要進入舊版網站必須另外登入。但是進入舊版網站的使用人數，並不計入訂閱Toolkit同時使用人數的計算。

更新 國家圖書館學位論文學校及系所（新增6校；修改2校）

Cataloging popular music audio formats such as compact discs and LPs has always required different procedures from cataloging Western art music recordings. Bibliographic records and standards have changed during the past twenty years and catalogers have switched from using Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (AACR2) to Resource Description and Access (RDA). This article will illustrate changes in popular music cataloging since the 2001 publication of Terry Simpkins’ article “Cataloging Popular Music Recordings.” Additional issues such as name authority and subject authority creation have been included, as well as new codes and MARC tags being used in bibliographic records.

The genres and subgenres used to organize fiction in seven online bookstores, as well as by the OCLC network and in Wikipedia, are compared with those covered by the Library of Congress Genre/Form Terms (LCGFT). The genres assigned to a sample of common titles were also compared. The genre schemes of the bookstores and Wikipedia differed markedly from LCGFT and the OCLC list, while the genres used for particular titles differed markedly even amongst bookstores. As well as differences due to domain, geography would also appear to be a major factor.

The bibliographic work has assumed a great deal of importance in modern cataloging. But the concept of the work has existed for over a century, and even some of the earliest catalog codes differentiate between the intellectual work and its instances. This article will delve into the history and theory of the work, providing a basic overview of the concept as well as a summary of the myriad uses of the work throughout the history of cataloging. In addition to monographs, this paper will look at the work as applied to music, moving images, serials, and aggregates.

In the introduction, the authors of this concise work state that their aim is to present the basics of linked data specifically to librarians “whose background may not be traditionally considered ‘technical’” (x). They state that the book “is a great primer on linked data basics, it is not an exhaustive dive into the topic, nor is it intended to make you an expert” (xi). To a large degree, the authors meet these objectives, at least to this reviewer who is not of a technical background.
