「BIBFRAME Workshop in Europe 2024」於 2024 年 9 月 17 日至 18 日在芬蘭赫爾辛基大學舉辧，該研討會的目的是成為一個有關 BIBFRAME 實施的實務、產出和規劃之共享知識的論壇，以便將使用 BIBFRAME 模型和相關工具從 MARC 過渡到鏈結資料的人員聚集在一起。

2. BIBFRAME 編輯器測試與研發：例如 Libris XL、Marva、Sinopia、以及 OCLC 正在開發之編輯器；
3. BIBFRAME 與 MARC 的對照：例如 BIBFRAME 與 MARC 21、UNIMARC、KORMARC 之對照；
4. 探討共享型式書目基礎建設：包括 Share-VDE 與 Linked Data 及 BIBFRAME；
5. BIBFRAME 互操性與藍色核心計畫：前者為 BIBFRAME 跨語言的相互操作，後者指編目模式的轉變；
6. 實務與應用的經驗分享：包括瑞典國家圖書館、芬蘭國家圖書館、新加坡國家圖書館、OCLC、Share-VDE 等之經驗分享。

本次會議由瑞典國家圖書館、Casalini Libri及Share-VDE、芬蘭國家圖書館、德國國家圖書館、史丹佛大學圖書館及 LD4P 計畫、比利時皇家圖書館、美國國會圖書館、挪威國家圖書館共同籌畫。研討會簡報檔及影音檔已上線，提供有興趣的圖書館同道上網觀看及參考。

Catholic Subject Headings, a list of subject headings focused on describing and representing Catholic belief, ritual, and culture, was first published in 1942 by the Catholic Library Association for use in Catholic libraries. The creation of a cataloging tool solely to represent and serve a distinct religious population allows for an imposition of religious worldview by those utilizing Catholic Subject Headings onto the materials they interacted with. The need for a specifically Catholic cataloging system is also revealing of the complex tensions between Catholics and Protestants and within the American Catholic community in twentieth century America.

People change their names for a variety of reasons, including, but not limited to, gender transition, change in marital status, and religious conversion. Guidance on the metadata management of author name changes for the myriad resources in a library’s discovery system is elusive and absent. Executing metadata for name changes creates many challenges in a rapidly advancing infrastructure of emerging discovery technologies, aggregators with shared metadata in multiple schemas, and numerous formats in varied platforms. Moreover, it is difficult to find a balanced approach to ethically apply evolving cataloging and name authority control rules to suit the linked data environment. This case study examines an academic library’s process in creating guidance for implementing name changes. The paper reports on the stakeholders involved, resources consulted, dilemmas considered, and decisions made in the development of the library’s author name change guidelines.
