LC於2023年12月7日針對MARC 21格式發布第37次更新。本次更新記載了包含自第36次更新（2023年6月）發布以來MARC 21之書目、權威、館藏、分類、社群資訊等考慮的提案所產生的變更。其中有關書目、權威的更新，主要是新增欄位023來取代欄位022原有Cluster ISSN部分。

一、書目格式之更新內容包括：

（一）新增欄位023，用以著錄Cluster ISSN，該欄位下並設：

1. 分欄$a：Cluster ISSN (不可重複)。
2. 分欄$y：錯誤的Cluster ISSN (可重複)。
3. 分欄$z：取消的Cluster ISSN (可重複)。
4. 分欄$0：權威紀錄控制號或標準號(不可重複)。
5. 分欄$1：真實世界物之URI (可重複)。
6. 分欄$2：來源(不可重複)。
7. 分欄$6：連結(不可重複)。
8. 分欄$8：欄位連結及序號(可重複)。

（二）刪除欄位022之分欄$l及分欄$m：

1. 欄位022原有之分欄$l為Cluster ISSN (不可重複)。
2. 欄位022原有之分欄$m為取消的Cluster ISSN (可重複)。

（三）欄位532可檢索註，新增分欄$3，用以著錄特定資料。

二、權威格式之更新內容包括：

（一）新增欄位023，用以著錄Cluster ISSN，該欄位內並設：

1. 分欄$a：Cluster ISSN (不可重複)。
2. 分欄$y：錯誤的Cluster ISSN (可重複)。
3. 分欄$z：取消的Cluster ISSN (可重複)。
4. 分欄$0：權威紀錄控制號或標準號(不可重複)。
5. 分欄$1：真實世界物之URI (可重複)。
6. 分欄$2：來源(不可重複)。
7. 分欄$6：連結(不可重複)。
8. 分欄$8：欄位連結及序號(可重複)。

（二）刪除欄位022之分欄$l及分欄$m：

（三）3個欄位更改名稱及其定義：

1. 欄位371 地址，重新描述了欄位定義和範圍。

3. 欄位374職業，重新描述了欄位定義和範圍。

（四）1個分欄更改名稱及其定義：欄位376家族資訊之分欄$2詞彙來源，重新描述含括範圍。

This paper considers various approaches to the practice of copy-specific descriptive cataloging in rare books and special collections and seeks to identify how practice can be improved to ensure greater discoverability. Through applying a survey method, it identifies some of the core requirements of library professionals and researchers working with these materials and proposes solutions toward the standardization of this practice.

The Manual of Map Classification and Cataloguing, known colloquially as the ‘Parsons’ classification, is a geographic-based scheme for structuring a map collection using a sequence of alphanumeric classes and subdivisions. The system was published in 1946 after being devised by Captain Edward J.S. Parsons RE, the inaugural Curator of Maps at the Bodleian Library, University of Oxford. Although originally adopted by Parsons within the map collection of the British War Office, the system was later used to classify the Bodleian’s own map collections, where it remains the basis of the organization of over two million maps, atlases and cartographic books today. This paper explores how the role of the Parsons classification within the Bodleian Library has changed significantly since its genesis in the 1940s. It then outlines recent work undertaken at the library to consolidate and digitize the system so that it better serves a map collection whose infrastructure is now largely digital.
